Welcome to the website of the parish of Littlehempston! We’re a small friendly community of around 200 people and 83 households, situated amongst rolling hills and small brooks near to Totnes. We are lucky enough to have two thriving pubs, the popular Pig & Whistle and, in the village itself, the Tally Ho, the first community owned pub in South Devon.

Both the Tally and St John the Baptist Church next door are listed buildings, dating back to the 14th century. The future of our beautiful little church was secured in 2012 when it was adapted to be our “village hall” as well as a place for religious worship. Innovative “pews on wheels” enables our Community Space to be quickly set up for a variety of activities.

The aims of our web site are to share information about the parish present and past, keep everyone up to date with what’s going on and provide lots of other useful stuff.  Please don’t be afraid to make suggestions, send things in or to let us know what you like or don’t like.  One-off or regular contributions are much appreciated. Just contact us and let us know.
