The Mare and Foal Sanctuary is encouraging horse lovers from all over the region to take part in their Well Horse, Well Rider day – chock full of equine experts eager to help owners with everything from saddle fitting to physiotherapy and nutrition.
The day will help horse lovers get the very best out of their four-legged friends, as well as helping riders with their own aches and pains in a special multi-sensory therapy pod.
Horses and ponies are welcome on the day and the Sanctuary will be providing Riding Confidence Lessons with Tina Allen, who has been teaching for more than 20 years all over the world, including America and South Africa.
And Catherine Watts, of Rivendale Physiotherapy will be offering Rider Pilates sessions to relieve the stresses and tensions of a day in the saddle.
Head of Equine Sally Burton said: “This will be a really useful and informative day for any horse or pony owner.
“Looking after a horse or pony is hard work, but it’s also hugely rewarding, and we wanted to provide sound and knowledgeable advice and help for people and their horses.
“The equestrians invited along will be able to help with everything from horse and rider back problems to the best fitting saddles and bridles. It will be a really interesting and enjoyable day for anyone who loves horses and ponies as much as we do.”
