The Eternal or Divine Feminine is a phrase that is familiar to many, but what does it mean? Where does it spring from? In this richly illustrated talk, Rory Valentine traces the concept through pictures to Old Testament sources and Russian Iconography, then looks at what the artist Raphael offers to aid our understanding of the Feminine Principle, which is so much part of each and every one of us.
Rory, a Dartington resident, has built something of a following over the last few years for his illustrated talks on the work of Raphael, which more take the form of a visual experience rather than a ‘lecture’. So you don’t need to be an art expert to appreciate this – it’s an “experience” that has broad appeal, often described with words such as ”compelling”, “fascinating” and “nourishing.”
