Devon County Council have issued a notice saying the A381 from Littlehempston to Totnes will be closed between the hours of 19:00 and 07:00 for maintenace works.

We have been given further information about the works which involve crown lifting and felling of trees, and taking down larger branches. The full road width will be needed to do the work safely without the risk to the public of branches etc. falling on them. The nature of the work is such that it would be unsafe for the public to be on the road whilst the work is taking place. All branches will be dropped onto the road in order to avoid disturbing any ecological habitats. They will then need to be transported to a safe location.
