We do hope you can join us at the Fete, which we are endeavouring to make plastic-free this year, so there will be no straws or plastic cups! You will be able to get free water (and re-fills) if you bring your own bottles, and of course we will serve all drinks in recyclable cups.
Fingers crossed for good weather again, when you can enjoy some popular favourites appearing again – the Berry Pomeroy School Maypole Dancers, the Stilt-Man, donkey rides and ferret racing! Not forgetting the ever-popular Fun Dog Show, which will start at 5.45pm judged by Liz Breeze, the Plant & Produce Stall, the White Elephant & Book Stall, and so much more. Fantastic food will be on offer with the legendary Hog Roast & BBQ, Trudy’s Teas, candy floss and ice cream, and there will be plenty to entertain everybody throughout the evening, including the Tug of War competitions!
The Fete will open at 4pm, children are free, and general entry is only £2.50 (parking is free). The site in Gatcombe will be well signposted from Berry Pomeroy and the A381, and we do hope that you’ll be able to come along and join us for a wonderful afternoon.
