EASTER FUN WITH THE HAPPY HOOVES PONY CLUB AT THE MARE & FOAL SANCTUARY

Devon’s Mare & Foal Sanctuary is back with its Happy Hooves Pony Club, chock full of activities for horse mad youngsters over the Easter holidays.

The club’s pony sessions are for primary school age youngsters offering an introduction to practical pony care, including making hay nets, tack cleaning and grooming some of the charity’s fabulous – and cheeky – ponies.

Sanctuary Education Manager Dawn Neil said: “We love these sessions because the children have such a great time getting involved in the care of our wonderful rescued ponies.

“For any little ones mad about ponies it’s a wonderful introduction to life in a stable yard. It’s also great fun to get some hands-on experience with something small enough to make your little one feel like a true equestrian.”

There will also be hobby horse gymkhana games in the field or arena and arty fun in the form of horse shoe decorating indoors.

The sessions cost £15 and include a free gift and certificate. For more details visit the Sanctuary’s website on www.mareandfoal.org.
