Buckfast Abbey is a magnet for horticulturalists, garden lovers and nature, and we are delighted to offer an evening with Aaron Southgate, head gardener at the Abbey, who will give a talk and host questions about a variety of topics. He is enthusiastic not only about organic gardening, but also about how everything is inter-related – sustainability, naturalistic gardening and health. A particular interest is the importance of microbes for a healthy soil. This will be a friendly relaxed session with lots of opportunities to ask questions and get expert answers.
Afterwards, enjoy a sausage casserole (vegetarian option) and more opportunity to talk gardening! £10 entry includes talk and supper.
