This is a weekend to celebrate our new bell ropes – the fundraiser in May raised £2,383. Thanks to all who supported this. By popular request, we’re re-running the exhibition about our bells and bell ringing in general and also opening up the tower again, for a rare opportunity to visit Littlehempston church’s five new bell ropes with their smart new sallies (royal blue, gold and red). The more intrepid (and fit) can climb further to see our five historic bells, and then up to the very top for a great view of the village. There are lots of activities for the children and the opportunity to have a go at ringing the handbells. Expect lots of cake.
