We will be planting 12 apple trees in the community orchard today. Many hands will definitely make for lighter work, so please come along if you can (and bring a spade).
We’ll have to drive in a post with a post “thumper” and then put the little tree in the ground with more soil and microrhyzome powder. Then we have to put mipex around the tree to stop weeds and grass. We tie the tree to the post and lastly put wire mesh around it to stop the deer eating it.
We should be finished by midday so we can retire to Crafternoon Tea in the church for cake and coffee or tea!
