At the beginning of this month, the floor of the Space was covered with piles of holly, eucalyptus, berries and other greenery gathered from local gardens and hedge rows in readiness for the Christmas Craft workshop, along with baubles, ribbons, feathers and silvered foliage. Then with the kind and expert guidance of Karen Smith from Deapp Farm, we chose our materials and created beautiful wreaths and festive decorations. Helped along by mulled wine and Val Hoare’s tasty refreshments, a range of styles emerged from manicured to wild. Many thanks to Karen (pictured here) for lending her expertise and time – let’s hope this becomes a seasonal event!
