It was only just a month ago in mid December that hardy souls shivered by the Triangle Bridge selling local wares at the pop up stall. Thanks to all who helped and supported, ate cakes and bought Christmas cards designed by local people. An amazing £270 was raised by the stall and the cards, which all sold out. The money raised was spent immediately on a fuel delivery for the church, just in time to keep everyone warm for the carol service, Littlehempston Folk choir and exercise classes.
A new addition to the carol service this year was the handbell ringing – well done to the team led by Val Hoare, who brought the historic bells out of retirement. (They had spent a number of years under Bert Blackler’s bed at Higher Court Farm.) And further festive musical talent was shown the following week when the Littlehempston Folk choir sang carols to happy customers in the Tally Ho garden. Another happy customer at the Tally was Jill Todd who won first prize of £111 in the Littlehempston Lottery. Her number was drawn by Kat Smith and second prize of £28 went to a lucky Hemsford lady.
