In 2017, a Youth Club was set up for the children of Littlehempston and the local area. In March 2018, Asher Lvin took over running the club and provided a great mix of action packed activities. Sadly, some good things come to an end, as Asher explains here…
“I am sorry to say that 15th August will be the last session for the youth club for the foreseeable future. I am going to be a full time Year 3 teacher from September and have decided to keep other regular work commitments to a minimum. The Community Space Team has also decided that, as there are now less children actually in Littlehempston within the age range, they would now like to focus on other areas of community activity. I fully support their decision. I am sorry if you are disappointed. It has been a great experience for me, running the youth club these past few years. I’d like to thank the Space Team for all the fantastic work they do for the local community and for supporting the youth club both financially and with practical support throughout its existence.
I would especially like to thank Val Hoare, who has volunteered her time and energy for every session. She is a wonderful, dynamic, creative, generous person. Thanks Val!
Thanks also to you, Littlehempston Youth Club children (and their parents), for your commitment over the years! Without your energy, enthusiasm, ideas and friendliness, there would have been no youth club. Keep up the fantastic work…and play! Thanks for all the laughs, fascinating ideas and shared activities!
I look forward to seeing you on 15th August – If you could let me know if you definitely will or definitely won’t be able to attend, that would be great (if you are not sure, no worries, just check in nearer the time).”
A huge thank you to Asher for giving our young ones so many happy times. And for keeping the show on the road despite Covid 19! We wish him all the best for the future and the Year 3 children who will have him as their teacher are very lucky indeed!
