Littlehempston’s first rounders practice proved a big hit with the first session on 1st May attracting enough people both young and old to form two teams and play a match. Thanks to Chris Bone, we played on a well-mown pitch on the community land (aka Lot 7) and despite minor disputes over rules and easy rounders scored when balls got lost in the long grass, all players agreed it was a fine way to spend a sunny May evening. Further practices will be held fortnightly at 7pm on alternate Friday nights to the Youth Club – the next one is on Friday 17th May. Check the Events calendar for further information. All are welcome, including spectators who can sit on the bench and enjoy the spectacle.
