Well … um!

The Wellums continued their lucky streak when Sue scooped first prize in the Littlehempston Lottery, drawn at the end of March in the Pig & Whistle. (Husband Mike won last year). Tony Brown drew the lucky ball and Sue was presented with a cheque for £112. The next ball out of the barrel was James Dunn’s, who won the second prize of £28.

A cheque for £140 was donated to the Community Space, who this year will use all Lottery donations to support activities for the children of Littlehempston. So why not have a flutter and support local community life at the same time? And if you have suggestions on activities for our younger villagers, do contact us.

The draws are quarterly and the next one is on June 28th, so if you’d like to join in, just send your application and a cheque for £10 (or £30 for the 3 remaining draws this year) to organiser Ken Wood. Full details here.
