More good news for Littlehempston’s pubs

The Pig & Whistle and the Tally Ho have both been nominated in the Herald Express Pub of the Year competition – now you can cast your votes for them. Here’s a link to the Pub of the Year voting page. Just click on the link, scroll down to the form, then if you want to vote for the Pig & Whistle enter the P&W’s number 1035 and name “The Pig and Whistle, Littlehempston”, or if you want to vote for the Tally enter the Tally Ho’s number 1043 and name “The Tally Ho, Littlehempston”, then finally press the submit button.

You can also vote by text! Text HE POTY to 63333 followed by the Pig & Whistle’s or Tally Ho’s number and postcode, e.g: “HE POTY 1035 Pig and Whistle TQ9 6LT” or “HE POTY 1043 Tally Ho TQ9 6LY”.

And, of course, you can buy a copy of the Herald Express and use the printed voting form inside.

All forms of voting close on Friday November 6th 2015.

And the Tally Ho is listed in the Good Beer Guide 2016 which has recently been published by CAMRA (the Campaign for Real Ale). That’s a great achievement, especially as the Tally only re-opened in March 2014. There are about 330 pubs in the area of CAMRA’s South Devon branch, but the branch can only nominate 29 of them to be included in the Good Beer Guide.

Next time you’re in the Tally, take a look at the Guide which sits proudly on the bar next to the Pub of the Year Certificate, presented by Bob Southwell, chairman of South Devon CAMRA to Hollie and Chris back in April. You can order your own copy of the Guide from CAMRA’s website.
