At the beginning of the month, large digging machines arrived on the field next to the triangle bridge. Jenny Galton-Fenzi reports: “Good news for everyone who drives through the village. The two flood channels, which were constructed in 1997, are being dug out to get rid of the silt which has accumulated in the time since. This should mean the roads won’t flood so much during the winter. All credit to Viv Whybrow, who has pursued the District Council tenaciously over this, making sure Littlehempston was not forgotten when resources and funding were allotted!”
Fingers crossed for this winter and well done, Viv!
