Things are getting better at the Tally Ho

Lots of changes for the better at the Tally recently – a brand new wood burning stove warms the bar, a fire alarm system has been installed and a lovely new till, and other changes have been made to bring this historic watering hole up to scratch on the fire safety front. Work has started on making the electrical system conform to modern standards. Wonderful volunteers have pointed and painted. A huge thank you to the talented team led by Anna Ash that have made the much admired new cushions!

Shares in the Tally Ho have just topped £200,000 and enough money has now been made from share sales to make a £10,000 repayment to the Architectural Heritage Fund, as a first step to paying back the £100,000 loan. Shares are still for sale, so if you’d like to own a bit of the Tally, phone 01803 865058 or visit for more information.
