Cream Teas and African Mountains

Everybody enjoyed an afternoon of sunshine and delicious cream teas at Val Hoare’s fundraiser last month, while enjoying the lovely view over the Hems valley. Ray Hill won the raffle and went home clutching his champagne and elderflower cordial, while Ali Taylor won the prize for the best summer hat (by dint of being the only entry). The event raised a fantastic £245 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Afterwards Val said, “We really enjoyed having so many friends with us to share such good weather. Please thank everyone who came or has given donations.”

The next chance to have a good time and support this valuable charity is to come along to the Ceilidh that Val’s organising on October 26th in the Space at Littlehempston Church.
