Auction of Promises coming up

A fun evening and a chance to bid awaits you on Saturday 25th May. Things you might want, things you might need, or treats for you or a loved one are being sold in aid of Littlehempston Community Space at St Johns Church, Littlehempston. The Auction of Promises will have over 20 lots donated by local artists, craftspeople and businesses – all to be sold by auctioneer Piers Whiting of Luscombe Maye. The evening will start at 7pm with food and wine, while you get the chance to see some of the lots for auction displayed in the Church.

Items for sale include:

  • A painting of a favourite pet or horse by Jessica Hill
  • A load of logs delivered by Lawrence Joiner
  • A morning at Knaves Ash Racing Stables spent with trainer Martin Hill
  • A signed copy of a bestseller by local author Nicholas Evans
  • Chimney swept by John Cleave Ltd
  • Riding Lessons for a child donated by Rose Boon
  • Massages by Kate Carfrae
  • A ‘Celebration cake’ baked for a special occasion by Nicky Oldridge
  • A Deerstalk with Mike Wellum
  • Sunday Lunch for Two donated by the Pig and Whistle
  • A bespoke Garden Bench made by local farmer David Hoare
  • Two hours of Gardening by John Todd
  • A picture of your home or garden painted by Nicholas Pearkes
  • A load of Farmyard Manure delivered by Paul Wakeham
  • Custom made Horsehoe Signs by Graham Corbett
  • A guided tour of Poltimore House with tea arranged by Claire Donovan
  • A session of Eurythmy Therapy with Margot Cooper
  • and several paintings
