The voice of Anneke Freeland filled Littlehempston Church with beautiful sound and enchanted the audience with a varied selection of classical love songs at the Autumn Leaves concert at the beginning of this month. She was accompanied by Margaret Clark on piano. The two performed in front of the delicately lit rood screen with the most splendid flower arrangment supplied by Margaret’s husband, Richard. Delicious canapes were made and served by Ruth Massey and Colin Platt along with lashings of wine, so not only did everyone enjoy good music, they also enjoyed a good chat afterwards. Everybody agreed that the acoustics of the church were superb, so we look forward to more good music in the future. The event raised over £315, which Anneke and Margaret have kindly donated to the Community Space. Thank you both for a memorable evening.
