On the morning of Friday May 18th, Littlehempston Church will be handed over by StoneCo the builders and so it’s goodbye “Elfansafety” and hello “Big Clean”. We need lots of people to help tidy up the church, carry chairs and tables from Colin’s Barn and help make refreshments for the community volunteers who’ll be painting inside. Come along anytime from 10am on Friday morning to last thing Monday afternoon (May 21st), with cleaning materials if possible. But if you’re away for the weekend, never fear – help may still be needed to get the place shipshape for opening day. If there’s nobody at the church, call in on Colin Platt at the Old Rectory next to the church.
A warm welcome is extended to everyone to come and help celebrate the re-opening of the church on Saturday May 26th between 3 and 6pm. You’ll be able to marvel at our new Community Space and enjoy delicious cakes and tea. And if you’d like to bring along a cake, please do!
